1. What size ceiling fan do I need for my room?

Room size is the most important factor. As a general guide:

  • Up to 75 sq ft (small bedroom, home office): 29"–36" blade span
  • 76–144 sq ft (standard bedroom, dining nook): 36"–44" blade span
  • 145–225 sq ft (living room, master bedroom): 44"–54" blade span — our 52" models are ideal here
  • 226+ sq ft (great room, open concept): 54"–72" blade span

2. What's the difference between flush mount and downrod ceiling fans?

Flush mount (low profile) fans mount directly to the ceiling — best for rooms with ceilings under 8 feet. They keep the fan blades safely above head height.

Downrod fans hang from a rod, lowering the fan for better airflow. Ideal for ceilings 9 feet and above. Every WWM downrod fan includes multiple downrod lengths (typically 5", 10", and 20") so you can customize the height.

3. Can I install a ceiling fan with light myself?

Yes, if you're comfortable with basic electrical work and have an existing ceiling box rated for fan support. Every WWM fan includes detailed installation instructions, and most functional components arrive pre-assembled — most customers finish installation within 30–60 minutes.

Important: The ceiling electrical box must be fan-rated to support the weight and movement of a ceiling fan. If you're replacing a light fixture, you may need to upgrade the box. When in doubt, we recommend hiring a licensed electrician.

4. Are the LED bulbs included with WWM ceiling fans dimmable?

The LED bulbs included with our ceiling fans are not dimmable. They provide consistent, bright illumination at a fixed output.

5. How energy-efficient are WWM ceiling fans with LED lights?

All WWM ceiling fans include energy-efficient LED bulbs that use up to 80% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs while producing the same brightness. Our motors are engineered for quiet operation with low power consumption — a typical WWM fan costs just a few dollars per year to run on regular use.

Using a ceiling fan alongside your AC can allow you to raise your thermostat by 4°F without feeling any difference in comfort — potentially reducing cooling costs by 10–15% during summer months.

6. What's the warranty on WWM ceiling fans?

Every WWM ceiling fan is backed by a lifetime limited warranty for the original purchaser. This covers defects in materials and workmanship on the motor. LED bulbs and remote controls are covered under a separate limited warranty.

7. How long does shipping take?

We offer free standard shipping on all orders to the continental United States, with no minimum purchase required. Estimated delivery time is typically 25–30 business days from the shipping date (not the order date).

8. What if my fan arrives damaged or has an issue?

9. Can I control the fan and light separately?

Yes. All WWM ceiling fans with lights include a remote control that lets you independently adjust fan speed (typically 3–6 speeds), turn the light on and off, and switch fan direction (summer/winter modes).

10. Which direction should my ceiling fan spin in summer vs. winter?

Summer: Counter-clockwise — pushes air down, creating a wind-chill effect that makes you feel cooler.

Winter: Clockwise — pulls cool air up and pushes warm air (trapped near the ceiling) down along the walls, redistributing heat without creating a draft.

All WWM remotes include a reverse-direction button for easy seasonal switching.
